How To Report Domain Names With The ReportName Toolbox

  1. Step 1: Identify the suspicious domain

Look for signs such as unusual or misspelled domain names, suspicious emails or links, or websites requesting sensitive information.

For example, you may notice slight variations in the domain name, like "g00gle.com" instead of "google.com," which could indicate a phishing attempt.

  2. Step 2: Open Who.is tool from ReportName Toolbox

Access the toolbox at https://reportname.com/toolbox, or https://lets.report

We will go to to the 'Research' tab in the ReportName tool box and find the who.is tool. Click the link to launch it in a new tab.

This step helps you determine if the domain is legitimate or potentially malicious based on its registration history and ownership.

Consider various indicators such as recent registration, trademarks and associated businesses, and potential connections uncovered in your investigation.

  5. Step 5: Report Suspicious Activity

Notify relevant entities such as domain registrars, web hosting providers, or cybersecurity agencies about the suspicious domain, providing all gathered information for investigation.

Include detailed reports and evidence of malicious activity to expedite the investigation process and mitigate potential risks.
